The Choc Pot - Town Hall

I had a catch up with two of my uni friends and we went to The Choc Pot which is a dessert store. They have stores in Burwood (their original store), Chatswood, Rosebery and their most recently opened store in Town Hall.

We ordered the infamous "Choc Pot" (pictured below). Basically, it's the dessert that the whole store is named after. It's basically a chocolate lava cake, i.e. cakey on the outside and gooey in the inside. It's also not overly sweet so it was a very delicious dessert. We also ordered three extra scoops of ice cream because who doesn't love ice cream?! We couldn't share just one scoop of ice cream between the three of us.

We also ordered another dessert to share. We ordered the "Lord of the Crepes" (pictured below). It consists of a freshly made crepe that is loaded with multiple sweet ingredients - their nutty choc praline spread (hazelnut chocolate spread but with crunchy praline), thin crispy wafers and home made vanilla whipped cream, topped with strawberries and drizzled in melted Belgian Chocolate.

Overall, we unanimously agree that the crepe dessert tasted much better than the choc pot - only because we were so full from dinner and the crepe was a much lighter dessert than the choc pot because of the fresh strawberries that cut down on the sweetness.

This is definitely a dessert place in the City (as well as their other locations) that I would recommend in visiting. They have plenty of other desserts that look mouth watery and to die for!

Well anyway that's it from me and I hope you enjoyed reading this post.
